Aha, well if facilitators are allowed to get in on the act... 1. Where are you: in the London Oxfam office, doing my best to stay focussed but struggling cos i'm off to Barcelona in the morning and i'm a wee bit excited!2. What are you doing these days: I've changed jobs at Oxfam and I'm now in the Youth Team. Liz is my boss, which is marvellous, and we've just written a new youth strategy focussing on under-18s. there'll be a new website (think generationwhy for smaller people) and we'll be starting to pilot projects v soon. all v exciting.i've also just come back from an Oxfam Exposure tour to Rwanda, which was amazing. we visited lots of peace-building and conflict management projects, as well as some Unwrapped livestock projects and Youth projects. met lots of incredible people and came back feeling really buoyed up. i wrote a blog about my trip on genwhy: http://www.oxfam.org.uk/generationwhy/hannahblog/ 3. Any plans you'd like to tell us about: urm... I'm cycling around Syria in September with my cycling-mad boyfriend. bit worried i won't be able to keep up!4. Any cool campaigning things you've done recently: currently involved in starting a knitting revolution to raise awareness about maternal mortality. apparently knitting is now cool. Oxfam's asking people to knit squares for a symblic baby blanket which will be handed in at number 10 - each of the 250,000 squares will represent a mother who's died during the course of the campaign - i.e. between April and September. we're trying to get lots of schools involved. see: http://www.oxfam.org.uk/applications/blogs/campaigners/2008/03/wanted_knitting_activists_to_d.html5. Now attach a picture so we can see if you got your hair cut, orsomething. i'm gonna try to atatch a pic from Rwanda, but i don't really understand this takingitglobal thing so it might not work!Keep the updates coming - it's great to hear what everyone's up to!Hannah xxHannah ShawYouth Engagement Project ManagerOxfam GBOxfam House, John Smith Drive, Cowley, Oxford, OX4 2JYDirect line: 00 44 (0)1865 472349www.oxfam.org.uk/generationwhyI'm in Oxfam House every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
