Hi, all! Here are my answers for Week 3.
8. What are some peaceful and innovative ways of highlighting the
importance of this issue at the conference?
To highlight the importance of our issues, our messages shouldn't be only
printed and visible from everywhere, they have to be pronounced and
explained by speakers during plenary session and in workshops. This will
help to avoid different understanding and interpretations of what we want to
say by participants and decision-makers.
9. Imagine that you are at the conference. What kind of tools, actions or
events do you think would serve the purpose of visibility around the
advocacy message? (T-shirts, rallies, pins, posters, stickers etc.). Keep in
mind that there is a limit on the budget for materials and events.
I agree with T-shirts, banners, stickers. Would be great to print messages
on rucksacks. If the budget allows it is possible to shoot a trailer where
young people adress important advocacy issues to the policy-makers. This
trailer can be broadcasted as a social advertisement on TV and on plasma
monitors during the conference.
10. When advocating using this message at the conference, what could you
suggest to your decision-makers as practical and realistic next steps they
can take to implement your ideas?
I would suggest to include youth in decision-making process at all levels.

The All-Ukraine Network is dedicated to fighting the HIV epidemic in
Ukraine, regionally and internationally and believes that People Living with
HIV and AIDS should be central to the formation of policy, the development
of services and the monitoring of implementation.
The All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH is the winner of the International “Red
Ribbon Award” 2006 which was given for its achievements in overcoming stigma
and discrimination towards HIV-positive people.
