Hey Guys,
Just a brief update on the Team. I know it seems a bit long but please try
and read the entire thing. There's some important stuff towards the end.
INFO: For those of you who missed it. We have a new member in the '18 Club'.
So a big MPH Happy Birthday to Daamini. Hope you have an incredible year and
an awesome life dee!
TASK: On the MPH front I have the newsletter ready to go. Which is good
news. We will send it out as soon as Alex, Nadia, Nida, Jaser and Reem send
in their portions of the Fusion 2006 Sign Up Lists. Diya and me have
completed the 7 sheets that we had between us. Between the 5 of you, im told
there are 6 sheets. So please get them to me as soon as possible as the
letter is awaiting that.
INFO: Our new website for some reason is taking its own swing time to go
live but that is already under way. For those of you that are interested
GCAP has re-launched the whiteband website at www.whiteband.org
INFO: The Millennium Campaign and GCAP have also just launched a new site
specific for the 'Stand Up' initiative and it looks great.

TASK: Stand Up is the next BIG thing for us here at MPH and we have to make
it work! I know everyone is incredible busy. But take a few minutes to read
up about it and make sure that we have a Stand Up event at each and everyone
of your schools. It is the simplest thing in the world to organize and each
and everyone of you on these teams are extremely capable of it.
INFO: Localized information on Stand Up will be posted on our website
(www.makepovertyhistory.ae) within the next week until then you can read up
on it at the Stand Up website.
NOTE: All UAE Stand Up events will be processed by Make Poverty
History-Emirates and then transferred to the MC Headquarters in New York. So
registration for local events will be via our website not the Stand Up
Website
TASK: ONE TV, Dubai Radio Network and Zee Arabia are those networks (at the
moment) that will help us promote this event. If any of you know people in
newspapers, magazines, radio, tv etc. that can help us promote Stand Up as
an initiative to help end world poverty...now is when we need to call in
these contacts.
