  QUESTIONS FOR WEEK FOUR:

1. Are there specific practices or approaches you think would increase collaboration among young people, development agencies, and national governments?

From my own experience I want to say that very often youth are not aware of the programmes and projects. So the first problem is to inform them. Universities must be “bombarded” with flyers. There are many projects that I came to know about them from the flyers in my University.

2. How do you think we in general can ensure increased youth participation and impact in national and local development programmes? Why or why not?

Young people must be encouraged by the agencies or NGOs were they volunteer to start to cooperate with others. There are groups of young people in my country who started to participate in different programmes of national and local development. But the problem is that the same people participate in all the projects, you see the same faces everywhere, while there is need to involve more and more new people.  The youth should be interested in it too, because a few years later they will in the country and the system, today they make.

3. How can we ensure the invitation and subsequent participation of young people in the national and regional assessment processes related to core ICPD efforts (such as family planning, reproductive health, sexually transmitted disease and gender equality)?

Again I want to mention about the flyers informing about this or that seminar or lecture in a certain NGO concerning the matter in the schools and Universities and also some presentations and discussion will be very useful.

Sincerely,
Nvard Sununu
