> Yes I know young people efforts in promoting family planning because in our association; FAMILY PLANNING EDUCATION PROJECT, a project that teaches reproductive healthm family planningm HIV/AIDS and gender issues related to fa;ily planning, this project started in 2004 and until now it is still running. The project is made of young medical steudents at the National University of Rwanda.

The first condition that has led to best opportunities for young people to actively participate in
activities which seek to promote family planning,
reproductive health, and gender equality and address
sexually transmitted disease is that those are common issues that if adequately perform can lead us to achieve development. For example we decided to act in family planning because of the population growth rate was high in our region an this challenged development. We also decided to Teach HIV prevention because ;any people were being infected while prevention is possible. Also family planning cannot be achieved without gender balance in the family the reason why we decided to combine family planning with gender issues.

The greatest barrier is that many some of young people think that they are not concerned by family planningm some authorities do not beleive that young people can teach old people; like their parents about family planning. Somme local NGOs and Association fear to fund associations run by young people they promise but they do not do.

> 3. How have the perspectives and opinions of young people
> been perceived among public and private institutions
> designing and implementing development programmes, with
> particular attention to those on family planning,
> reproductive health, sexually transmitted disease and gender
> equality?

The private institution designing and implementing development programmes
perceive our opinions great and efficient since they always encourage us to continue in a such way.
