The Good Governance Group (3G) is comprised of Nigerians, from all walks of life, who have come together to ensure that the corruption, mismanagement and injustice we see daily are halted.

Our major aim is to ensure the institutionalization of the values of effective, efficient and responsive leadership in Nigeria.

We aim to:
Mobilize Nigerians towards guaranteeing that forthcoming elections in 2011 and beyond are transparent, credible and that results reflect the genuine will of the Nigerian people (with or without electoral reform);

Negotiate with political interests and parties to facilitate the emergence of a truly constituted democratic and accountable political platform whose organization and constitution are products of internal democratic debate and whose leadership at all levels (national, states and local governments) are products of credible, popular and genuine elections;

Facilitate the emergence of committed and trustworthy candidates at all levels and present credible alternatives to today’s so-called elected “leaders”; and Engage various interest groups such as Labour, Civil Society/Community Based/Non Governmental Organizations, Faith Based Groups, Professionals/Business Groups, Women Organizations, Youths and other groups committed to institutionalizing good governance in Nigeria.

We have written all that can be written about why things do not work in Nigeria. All our complaints have fallen on deaf ears – which is only to be expected when we have no say in determining who governs us.
The lesson we have leant is that as long as we do not mobilize to engage in the political process, politics and governance will be left to same people who have led us to where we are today.
