Dear Advocates,

This update features a link to an HIV Prevention Research and
Implementation Road
Map
for
the XIX International AIDS
Conference,
details on where to find us at the conference and a link to a list of
satellite sessions AVAC and partners are organizing at the conference.

The International AIDS Conference is held every two years. AIDS 2012 will
take place in Washington, DC, July 22–27 and bring together over 20,000
activists, researchers, policy makers and government officials.

The AIDS 2012 conference
program
is
now available, and it includes many satellites, special sessions, abstracts
and workshops on a range of topics, including HIV prevention research and
advocacy. AVAC, in partnership with the HIV Medicine
Association
and IDSA/HIVMA Center for Global Health
Policy,
has compiled a road map of HIV prevention research and
implementation-related events. The AIDS 2012 HIV Prevention Research and
Implementation Road Map is available in a searchable Excel format as well
as PDF. Both versions are available to download at *the link above.*

The road map is a work in progress and will continually be updated in the
days and weeks leading up to the conference. Please let us know if you have
an event you would like us to include by emailing details to avac (at) avac.org.
