between urban violence, poverty, and inequalities****

Research to Reduce Urban Violence, Poverty and Inequalities Canada’s
International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is launching a call for
proposals as part of the Safe and Inclusive Cities research initiative. In
partnership with the United Kingdom’s Department for International
Development, this jointly-funded initiative aims to build an evidence base
on the connections between urban violence, poverty, and inequalities. It
also seeks to identify the most e­ffective strategies for addressing these
challenges. Grants of up to CA$500,000 will be awarded to carry out
cutting-edge research in cities across Latin America and the Caribbean,
sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. ****
