We are excited to announce the launch of the outcome of the CrowdOutAIDS project: the first crowdsourced strategy in the history of the UN! The document will be live on the CrowdOutAIDS website at 2pm CET today. It could not have been done without each and every one of you - thank you so much for taking part and sharing your experiences and insights! Today, on Tuesday, 24th of April, UNAIDS Executive Director, Mr. Michel Sidibé, will launch CrowdOutAIDS: Strategy recommendations for collaborating with a new generation of leaders in the AIDS response together with the Abuja-based NGO, Education as a Vaccine (EVA), and the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) who both hosted CrowdOutAIDS open forums in communities around Nigeria. As decided by participants, this crowdsourced document provides recommendations that will contribute to achieving the bold targets set by world leaders in the United Nations General Assembly Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS adopted in June 2011, through increased youth leadership, ownership and mobilization in the AIDS response at the country, regional and global level by 2015.
