Born in the early 80's in the South-Western part of Nigeria, Emmanuel
Olaoti's interest in Sexual and Reproductive Health as it affects young
people and awareness of young people’s vulnerability to STIs and HIV
inspired him to form a youth-led, youth-focused community-based
organization as an undergraduate student.

The organization under his leadership was able to get support and
collaborations from different organizations. Through the various programs
initiated by the CBO or held in partnership with other organizations, many
young people were reached with HIV prevention messages as well as free
services such as HIV Counseling & Testing and STI treatment.

Emmanuel aspires to be among IAS Governing Council. This is borne out of
the conviction that there is still a lot to be done for people infected
with/affected by HIV&AIDS in terms of participation in decision making and
programs targeting them. He aspire to work as a member of the IAS GC in
collaboration with other members to nurture ideas that can lead to an
increase in the participation of young people and other vulnerable
populations in health-related decisions/policy making especially in Africa.

Fellow Colleague! there is absolutely nothing for the youths without the
inclusion of youths in the process. Lets spread the word, mobilize,
advocate and support his candidacy into the IAS GC...election starts April
19th and ends on May 10th. Two of his powerful advocacy pictures are
attached to this email and he is the only young person contesting to be in
IAS Governing Council.

More information about him on the link above.
