MAROUA-12 FORUM
Theme: MAKE POVERTY A HISTORY AND DEVELOPEMENT OUR PRESENCE: THE SECRET
Organizer: THE DO SOMETHING INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN (CADOSIN)
Goal: Sensitize youths and Female population. /Preparation of the World Global Campaign GLO-13 in 2013
Date: 16-20 April 2012
Venue: Government Modern High School of Maroua, CAMEROON
Introduction
The goal of Do Something International Campaign is to end poverty by implicating men on women, especially youth, to the development process of their communities. Since it foundation, it continues sensitizing people on the positive actions that could change their lives, their Community, the one their neighboring and to change their world, with a happy and a joyful heart. The MAROUA-12 campaign will once more have the same sensitizing aim.
ABOUT MAROUA
MAROUA is the capital city of the Far North Region of Cameroon. Having more than300 000 habitants, it is the first touristic destination of the country. It is a cosmopolitan town, where we can find people from Chad, Nigeria, and Mali… Considered as the most beautiful city capital, it is in meantime the poorest region of the country. A poor quality of education, an inefficient sanitary service and a vulnerable place to epidemics like cholera.

ACTIVITIES OVERVIEW
Many activities are expected to take place during this event; training seminars, Teachings (sensitizing), Film Screenings, Various cultural performance ( Transforming Stars, Choir, Concert, Choreography…) excursions (WAZA Park), discussion Forums, Workshops, Planting of Trees, Marathon, Academies.
PARTICIPATION
The Maroua-12 Campaign is a Do Something International Campaign, what means an International Event. With the International Special Guests of the CADOSIN, youth across various nations are to participate in the event; international participants are estimated to 70. After all the Majority of the participants will be Cameroonians, from diverse background and places. Globally 500 persons are waited to attend to this particular event.
PROGRAMS
Leadership:
This teaching program will help strengthening future leaders by giving them the necessary skills to work in Team. As Future Leaders it is definitely necessary to develop in them the values of leadership. Meanwhile Female Leaders are really poor in number especially for a region like the Far north, where women are usually been household keeper. In this way this program is indented to help women with all the necessary leadership’s skills in other to more be active in their community.
Reproductive Health
One of the Priorities of the CADOSIN during this year is Reproductive Health During this event, this program aims to bring more knowledge on issues of Health reproduction, to sensitize, man and women of their impact on Poverty.
Gender
Does the women independency really make poverty to end? It is through this thematic that will be taken this program in order to change mentalities on Gender issues.

This special program taken out by the CADOSIN aims to bring people to THINK GLOBALLY AND ACT LOCALLY

FORUM
Meet your Leaders
This discussion Forum will help Youth to acquire the necessary experience for their positive
training. Together with some leaders, participant shall discuss on the actual evolution of the
world where they live.
The Secret
As the Topic of the Event, what is that secret that made some part of the world to end poverty? Participants will try to discuss on what they think is the secret that need parts of the world like Africa to end with poverty.
WORKSHOPS
The Method used against HIV/AIDS
HIV/AIDS is still killing thousands of lives, is there any methodological problem in the way we are fighting this pandemic? Which Method should we then use to efficiently fight against AIDS? This workshop will permit it members to find out what fit best to fight against HIV and AIDS
Youth and Employment
Between Governments that doesn’t give a good response to unemployment and a private sector that do not better, What do youth propose as response?
Corruption
After seeing how it hinders the development process, how can we arrive to reduce that practice?
Education
What is a better and fair education? How to make it a reality in every villages of the World
Early Marriage
