  This kind of ignorance is unforgivable after 30 years of the epidemic.
A US school in Pennsylvania rejected a 13 year old applicant who is
public about his HIV status, stating "In order to protect our
children in this unique environment, we cannot accommodate the needs
of students with chronic communicable diseases that pose a direct
threat to the health and safety of others."

Clearly they don't know how HIV is transmitted.
