Nomination of Awardees
In line with the upcoming 1sth Regional Education Summit on HIV/AIDS coming up from the 6th -11th of November 2011 in Abuja Nigeria, with the Theme ‘Striving to save life through preventive education’, the children/youth have decided to recognize and award some individuals, media organizations, teachers, agencies, NGO’s, telecommunications, education sector
The youth pre-Summit which is also a phase of the Summit will be coming up on the 4th and 5th of November 2011 before the main Summit.
It is in this light that the children/youth have decided to commemorate this program with an award night.
These is to honor the aforementioned category of people who have put in their best in responding to the issues affecting the children and young people in the Education sector in five (5) Africa regions (South Africa, East Africa, West Africa, North Africa and Central Africa).
Categories for Award
1.Individual Category
b) Most Outstanding Student in HIV/AIDS Prevention in the Education Sector.
c) Most Outstanding Family Life and HIV/AIDS Education Teacher.
d) Most Outstanding Reporter in HIV/AIDS Preventive Education.
2 Organizational category
a)Most Outstanding UN Agencies, Bi Lateral Agencies and International NGOs responding
to HIV/AIDS IN THE Education Sector.
b)Most Outstanding Multi National Company responding to HIV/AIDS in the Education Sector.
c)Most Outstanding Mobile Telecom companies responding to HIV/AIDS IN THE Education
sector.
d)Most Outstanding Media Organization in the Education Sector response to HIV/AIDS.
e) Most Outstanding Local NGOs responding to HIV/AIDS IN THE Education Section.
Criteria
The process for nominating awardees would be done in a transparent manner by a selection committee.
The selection process will be done by evidence like pictures, newspapers publications, videos, biographies and profiles. Please state the region in your nomination.
After the nomination has been received and preliminary short listing is done, a notice shall be sent to each of the persons selected under each region.
NOTE:
At least one person is expected to be shortlisted from each of the regions; i.e. one nominee under each category representing each Africa region. All nominations should be sent to youth (at) reshaa2011.org
