Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to share with you IPM’s 2010 annual report*, “Building on
Breakthroughs,”* which highlights our progress in developing a long-acting
microbicide ring and other products designed to help expand women’s HIV
prevention options where new solutions are urgently needed.

This past year has seen great advances in the HIV prevention field, with
several pivotal studies conducted by respected colleagues showing
proof-of-concept that antiretroviral-based technologies can safely and
effectively prevent infection. With continued commitment from partners,
supporters and the global community, we hope to build upon their important
work.

Breakthroughs.

Thank you for your ongoing support of HIV prevention and microbicide
research.
