WHY GAMES
FOR TRAINING?
The formal
approach to training imposes methods that are conventionally accepted and
useful. However, participatory approaches, which also acknowledge that,
learning, can happen through participants requires complex skills. Facilitation
using Games as a medium is more effective since this is powerful, enjoyable and
enables longer retention. Several books on Games have been written. Attending a
workshop where games are practised and the applications are tailored to suit
individual participants needs is a unique opportunity.
