Important...Request of a meeting..HELP/SUPPORT IN PROVIDING BASICHUMAN RIGHTS/FASCILITIES.

Honorable Sir/ Madam,
I, Jawad Ahmed Khan, being The executive
Director of "Organization for the Development of Youth (ODY)" have got the
privilege to visit United States of America in a six weeks Course ( 23rd
July - 4th August) at UMASS Amherst on Comparative Public Policy.
After Comparing Masacheusetts with My province, I felt Extreme sorry for My
people. University of Massacheusetts is Far away, even the High school
Amherst had better Fascilities than the only 1 social sciences University we
have for a land of134,051 mi². Electricity is far away, most of the
districsts still do not have gas and pure drinking water, and the most
alarming issue is; 50 % of youth (20-29) is Unemployed (Source: *Pakistan
Economic and Social Review *Volume 48, No. 2 (Winter 2010), pp.
183-208 )and the major reason behind this is; they are not educated
which is not
there fault beacause they don't have good schools and colleges in there
Villages.
In the Districts that lie on the border of Afghanistan ( like Killa
Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, Pishin, Chaghi etc) these Un educated and
unemployed Youngsters are mostly vulnarable to be trained as Taliban for the
so called Jihad or by some unknown agencies as gorila warriors in the
mountains and used in The Anti-Pakistan and Anti-Progressive Movements.
In most of The villages, even in the Suburbs of Quetta ( The Capital of
Balochistan), Parents enroll there kids in madrassas because they don't have
good schools in there villages. these Madrassas are often Unregistered and
act as the recruitment/ training centers of Taliban that has promoted the
issue of Taliban Shura and the Presence of Mulla Umar ( Taliban's Cheif) in
Quetta. If the situation remained Unchecked, the people in My area wil
suffer more than they are today.
Organization for the Development of Youth (ODY) has taken an initiative
since 2009 to promote Peace and healty activities in Pakistan Generaly and
in Balochistan Specifically along with our other themetic areas like
compaigns for the awareness of SRHR Issues, SKill Building, Carrier
councelling, Talent Hunts and several other youth development Activities.
Unfortunately Because of the lack of Proper funding and Internation
Affiliation we can't work on greater scale.
By taking benefit of Time and being in USA, I would love to have a meeting
with you and put my requests and suggestions before you.
