Dear Partners,
On July 1st, Y-PEER launched a 10-days campaign within the International
Year of Youth (IYY). The goal of the campaign is to bring young people and
youth organizations from 50 countries around the world together, unite
forces and make their voice heard on youth issues including sexual and
reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
One of main channels used during the Campaign is *Conversations for a
Better World* (http://www.conversationsforabetterworld.com) the web-site
initiated by UNFPA and dedicated to youth community for raising global
issues and finding solutions which will host articles on different themes
related to young people.
* Join 10 DoA Discussions on Conversations for a Better World*
We are glad to share with you that the *first invited guest editor is **Dr.
Babatunde Osotimehin, the Executive Director of UNFPA. *His article is a
source of inspiration and motivation for young people as well as policy
makers, as he affirms that I will continue to be a champion for young
people, particularly adolescent girls, so they can stay in school, stay
healthy and free from unintended pregnancies and HIV. I will continue to
push for greater investments in young people across many sectors: education
(including comprehensive sexuality education), health, including
reproductive health, and employment. You can read his full article at

Following Dr. Osotimehins article, our next invited guest editors will
start conversations about cyber activism, peer pressure, discrimination and
youth participation. You can take part in these discussions by leaving your
comments and sharing those articles with your colleagues.
* Youth Survey for UN Youth High Level Meeting (HLM)*
Y-PEER along with other youth organizations are collecting young peoples
answer on youth sexual and reproductive health issues. Each organization are
focusing on different regions to cover as many parts of the world as
possible.
Y-PEER will be responsible for Russian speaking countries in Eastern Europe
and Central Asia and Arabic speaking countries in Arab States. Both surveys
will be open till the end of 10 Days of Activism Campaign.
