Subject: [Rhodes Official] RSSAF Trinity 2011 Grant Application
To: Rhodes Official

Dear Scholars

Please find attached to this email the RSSAF grant application form for
Trinity 2011. We would like to ask you to please distribute this form to any
organisations which you think would be eligible to apply. RSSAF gives small
grants of up to £1,500 to programmes of economic, political and social
development in sub-Saharan Africa. Priority is given to projects less likely
to secure funding from large donors and to projects with which Rhodes
Scholars or other Oxford students/staff are associated. This is an important
link as it allows us to maintain contact with organisations that receive
grants. Please note that RSSAF also gives priority to organisations that
have not received RSSAF funding in the past, however previous recipients of
RSSAF grants launching new projects are invited to apply.

Also attached to this email is the RSSAF support and capacity building
programme application form. This is a pilot initiative which aims to link
applicants with scholars who are willing to provide non-monetary support to
these organisations. Willingness/unwillingness to participate in this
initiative has no bearing whatsoever on the evaluation of the organisation's
application for a RSSAF grant.

Applications are due on Friday, 20th May, 2011 (3rd week) at 5:00 p.m. In
the interests of fairness, no consideration will be given to applications
submitted after this deadline. If you are assisting an organisation with
their application, we encourage you to review the application closely
according to the guidelines attached, as this has often contributed to the
success of applications in the past.

PLEASE NOTE that the current form is different from versions that have been
used in the past. In the interests of fairness, forms submitted in the
earlier format will not be eligible.

If you have any questions or comments about the 2011 Grants Application
cycle or about RSSAF, please contact us at rssafgrants (at) gmail.com.

Yours sincerely

RSSAF Co-Grants Officers
