Help YPWC respond to urgent and ongoing youth unemployment crises

Dear YPWCer,
Whether it is responding to key youth and development issues like the recent youth unemployment crises, YPWC works every single day to empower
young people to bring an end to poverty and suffering in Ghana and beyond.

As a YPWC supporter, I know you share our vision of empowering
young women. With your help, our work has brought hope
and help to thousands of young people in crucial ways.
Tunisia's Jasmine Revolution, which has spread through other Middle East countries and China, gives a clear signal of the failure of society’s to
harness the energy, intelligence, and enthusiasm of the next generation of young people. For us at YPWC, we feel while it is the responsibility of
government to provide opportunities for citizens to actively contribute to the development process of their country through work opportunities, it is
imperative for civil society organizations to intercede where deemed appropriate. That is why we are impressed with the proposed “BTCA - Empowering Rural Youth through Entrepreneurship Promotion in Upper East Region” by
YPWC’s founder Michael Boampong and colleagues from Uppsala University and University of Cape Coast, to help them address the unemployment situation
in the Upper East Region with a focus on young females who remain vulnerable in the employment and unemployment playing field. The key aspects of this
project include training, incubation and mentoring of business ideas by young females as a way of reducing female unemployment and rural-urban
migration from Upper East to Southern Ghana.
Please, strengthen your support for Michael and his team and help them reach the 10,000 online votes by

to click on “Vote” for their project (BTCA - Empowering Rural Youth through Entrepreneurship
Promotion in Upper East Region ).
Your support could help the team to secure a $ 50,000 grant that will make a huge difference for hundreds of young women by unlocking the potential
every woman has to change her world.
We cannot predict which country will encounter another protest by young adults following the recent youth unemployment revolution, but we can
mention that entrepreneurship could be the most underexploited means of reducing youth unemployment.
Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Shantell Scott
Executive Director, YPWC
