	Dear GYCAers, Complement of the Season ! While many of us rushed out last year to vote online, i was moved to think about us rushing to do a Community Project as a Christmas Gift for my Nation. Yes, it did not have to be big and well budgeted considering that Saving Lives is always a zero-budget project Manager. But it was fun. With a few good men, we visited Ilogbo in Ogun State and discovered that our work Six (6) years ago had matured for tapping resources. While for twenty-three (23) years, they did not have a Secondary School, the current King supported the Construction of Ilogbo Secondary School to foster Education and Progress in 2004/5. A representative was able to erect a small Health Center as an MDGs Initiative. A borehole was drilled for the Communal use and a plots of land are to be allocated for use by Collaborating Organization who intend to promote the peace of the land. It was fun . . . it was also fun to have a last-minute education on HIV/AIDS with support from our Faith-Based Organizations in Ogun State. From Ipokia, Igbesa, Iboro and now to Ilogbo, one would think we had decided to take the letter ''i'' for 2010. It was just a coincidence. The fun of the above is that we realized that we did not have to wait for funding from afar to impact change in our community. We did not have to rely on a proposal paper from an International Donor agency to be the Change that we claim to be as Youths. We went with our passion without a tension in our spirit. Lets realize that we are a coalition and not a company. Lets realize that communication is key to reducing conflicts with reports acting as our platform for exchange and deliberation. Lets realize that it is not our BIG you claim to be in any given Organization but how well you mobilize and motivate people and community to action. This year is the International Year of Youth (International Year of Youth: Dialogue and Mutual Understanding (12 August 2010 – 11 August 2011) ) and many of us must decide to act and ACT Right, Stand NOW ! We must decide how each month must be tailored to serve the purpose of Service to Humanity. It is Our Year that Our Voices must be heard, our impact must be seen. (http://social.un.org/youthyear/index.html). I have pledged my service to humanity and seek no reward but fulfillment. What about You ? While you ponder on this message, take note that we have a job to do, a dream to fulfil and time is running fast. Have a New Year filled with love for you and your Friends.
