Dear alumni of the Young Leaders Vistors Program

I hope this finds you well. The SI is proud to launch a new pilot
program for female social entrepreneurs from
selected countries in the Middle East and North Africa. We would
appreciate if you could circulate this information in your networks
and to your contacts.

Kind regards,
Javeria

Call for applications — She Entrepreneurs

Connecting women in Social entrepreneurship
Are you a woman with a vision? Do you want to contribute to
sustainable change? Apply to She Entrepreneurs, a new program by the
Swedish Institute, and become
part of a unique network of women social entrepreneurs.
She Entrepreneurs aims to offer inspiration and knowledge as well as
build partnerships between Sweden and the countries involved in new
innovative social entrepreneurship
 ventures.
She Entrepreneurs is a new program by the Swedish Institute addressing
young women social entrepreneurs in selected countries in the Middle
East and North Africa:
Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Morocco and West Bank–Gaza. The program will
take place in Stockholm. During five days the participants will be
provided with the tools needed to start or develop a social project
for sustainable change in the participant’s country or
region, during or after the program. During the Stockholm week, the
participants will be matched with Swedish women who work actively as
social entrepreneurs or business entrepreneurs. After the week in
Stockholm, mentorship meetings will be held using digital
platforms, such as Skype and Ning. The whole participant group will
meet Swedish organizations and leading social entrepreneurs and
business entrepreneurs. Six months after the Stockholm week, the
participants will meet for a two-day follow-up for a status
 report from each social project.

Who can apply?

Young women between 20 and 35 years old from Egypt, Syria, Jordan,
Morocco and West Bank–Gaza who have the ambition and interest to use
social entrepreneurship
to implement a social project. You should have a good knowledge of
both written and spoken English and a basic knowledge of the internet
and social media like Facebook and Twitter. Submit your application by
using the online application form and the She Entrepreneurs
questionnaire together with and updated CV. You will find the
application procedure at
www.si.se/sheentrepreneurs.

There is no fee for the program. Travel, hotel and food expenses are
included in the program.
