	Hi GYCA members, We are now accepting applications for a free e-course on Grant Writing/Fundraising. The course will run from November 17 to December 18, 2008. Applications are due by the end of the day on Sunday, November 9. *This four-week e-course is a peer-to-peer training to educate young people on effective grant writing and fundraising methodology for HIV and AIDS issues. Participants are expected to commit at least 6-8 hours per week to the course. The course focuses on the importance of grant writing with tips for writing a convincing and persuasive proposal. It will also include resources for finding grants; information on how to be transparent and accountable to funders, and expertise about effective fundraising strategies. Participants will end the course with a grant proposal to submit after the course ends. Additionally, graduates of the course with viable proposals are invited to apply for a small grant to implement their project. The next opening for grant applications will take place in mid-2009.
