  Dear All
As a part of our Advocacy plan at the 5th Asia Pacific Conference on
Reproductive and Sexual Health, we the International Youth Committee,
have planned a small discussion with all of you during the next few
days. Below is a little glimpse of how we’re planning to do it. We
call it the E CONSULTATION.
Background

This e consultation basically focuses on getting the voice of the
youth from Asia and the Pacific to the governments. It's a platform
for youth to share their views and thoughts about young people & the
issues which they face regarding Sexual and Reproductive Health and
Rights. In the past e-consultations have proved to be an effective way
of getting the youth perspectives into some of the most important
international conferences worldwide and hence we hope that it will be
a success at the 5th APCRSHR as well. The involvement of youth and
adults in this consultation will promote youth-adult dialogue and
strengthen youth-adult partnerships.

Objective

To make the voices of young people throughout the Asia and Pacific
heard by their country delegates, UN agencies and donors.

Format
The format of the e-consultation will be as follows:
• The consultation will be in the form of short questions and answers
or an essay like structure
• These questions will be emailed to everyone on a weekly basis

• The questions will basically focus on SRHR issues relating to the
young people linking those to the ICPD PoA and the MDGs
• This e-consultation will go on for 3 weeks after which all the
information will be gathered.
Outcome
The final outcome of the consultation will be a Recommendation/
Commitment Draft which will be presented in front of the Conference
Proper.

In the next few weeks, we'll be sending all of you a question a week.
