The 9th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) will
be held from 9-13 August 2009 in Bali, Indonesia. The Bali Youth Force is
established to organize youth activities and ensure meaningful involvement
of young people in ICAAP. Five sub-committees: the advocacy, pre-conference,
youth pavilion, main conference and media committees were formed to prepare
the different aspects of the youth activities.
Bali Youth Force Advocacy Sub-committee will conduct an e-consultation in
the next three weeks, which would like to invite young people from different
countries in Asia and Pacific Region to share the situation of AIDS
epidemic, how do young people involve into the HIV and AIDS related
programmes and decision making process in different country, and what kind
of the key messages we could bring to Bali.
The e-consultation will start on June 8th and end on June 29th. Each Monday,
three questions are sent to participants in e-consultation, young people
have one whole week to express their thoughts and opinions to those three
questions. On the next Monday, the summary of the previous week discussion
and three questions for the next week discussion will be shared. A final
report will be finished and disseminated widely after three weeks
e-consultation.
