An Invitation to the USC-UCLA 2009 Global Health Awareness Week!
This spring, the USC Keck School of Medicine, USC Institute for Global
Health, UCLA's Geffen School of Medicine, the UCLA School of Public
Health, and the Global Health Review will be hosting the first annual
Global Health Awareness Week in Los Angeles, from April 3-10, 2009, in
commemoration of World Health Day on April 7th. This week will feature
a series of guest lectures by world-renown leaders in global health,
as well as a diverse range of events to engage students in learning
about, advocating for, and sharing their passion for global health.
All students are welcome to attend our week-long series of events,
which include a Partners in Health photography exhibit, documentary
screenings, student activism projects, a textbook drive for a health
library in Africa, a Physicians for Human Rights rally, and our Wheels
for Humanity community service day. For any questions, please contact
