To: Andrea Blake Dear GYCA: We're excited to announce that the application period for Regional Focal Points is now open! RFPs are absolutely central to GYCA's continued success and we are therefore seeking motivated and dedicated young people who want to help guide GYCA's work over the next two years. The application form is attached to this email and will be available on our website (www.youthaidscoalition.org). Applications are due to info (at) youthaidscoalition.org by WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5. There are a few key changes this year that are explained in the application as well. First, GYCA members will vote for their RFP November 24-December 8. More details about exactly how that voting will take place will come as we approach the voting period. Second, we are piloting a program in which RFPs will serve for two years in order to give them a chance to deepen their connections in the region and develop and carry out a plan for the region. There will be an opportunity to opt out of the position after the first year based on the RFP's preference. Current RFPs who have served for one year are still eligible to apply, but will only be able to serve for one year. More detailed responsibilities are listed in the application form.
