Subject: HAPPY NEW YEAR ! 2012 AND BEYOND
Sent: Jan 3rd, 2012 - 16:04:17

  Dear GYCAers,

I take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year as we look forward to
a prosperous 2012, as far as getting to zero new infections, zero stigma
and discrimination and zero AIDS related deaths is concerned.

Last year was a great year for youth engagement in the HIV/AIDS response.
We have come a long way in addressing HIV/AIDS initiatives at the
community, national, regional and global level. Let us look forward to
strengthing our commitment this year, by dialoguing with one another
sharing opportunities as well as challenges and solutions with the aim of
making progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support among
young people.

As we look forward to making remarkable progress in 2012 and beyound,
kindly share your thoughts, suggestions, strategies and ideas on what we
can do to halt the spread of the pandemic as well as critically address
stigma and discrimination which has remained a challenge. As GYCA members
in the regions, we will be hosting many online meetings to discuss the way
forward in regards to the HIV/AIDS response. Do send ideas or topics you
would like us to discuss as a region.

Thank you for your commitment to youth engagement in the HIV/AIDS response.

Have a fantastic 2012.!
