Overview Information

Youth Employment is very much important in every country’s development, Ghana is now said to be achieving great economic strides, but all these economic growth may eventual down slide without the youth who are the future human resource sustaining the economic achievement.

In creating and promoting effective youth employment, Ghana must focus more on developing and creating an enabling environment for the youth to develop entrepreneurship mind.

Job creating should not be the sole responsibility of government, even in the much develop economy around the world, job creation is the responsibility of entrepreneurs. The government’s responsibility in job creation is to create an enabling environment and structure that facilitate and support entrepreneurship development. In that way then the government can be said to be focused on private sector development as the engine block of an economy.

Education

Educational Structures in Ghana at this moment knows means supporting entrepreneurship development which over the years has proven to be an engine of youth employment in developed countries.
The recent world bank development report in African indicated that African is said to be achieving a lot in economic development much more better than its was as compared to formal world bank reports, the report indicated that many more Africans countries are now concentrating on private sector development which derived its efforts through youth participation in national developments.

- Structures

The educational structure must reduce numbers of subjects and transition from the various sector of the educational structure in the country and focus must be place on technical know how to replace the current theoretical learning and teaching in the various level of education.

- Focus

Tertiary institutions must put in place systems that focus on student interest that is the subject of interest.
More focus should also be given to technical education for experience has proven that the country’s technical or polytechnic education provides more job oriented individuals as compared to the university students who are mostly seeking for already created jobs just after school.

- Scope of Education

Educational institutions in the country must put policies and outlines measures that allows teaching and learning to be in the form of developing job creation oriented youth, such that our educational systems will produces youths that are job creation minded instead of the “ looking for job” attitude among the present youth of Ghana.
In reading the responses to the summarized part of the first round questions indicated most African countries faces the same problems when the issues of youth unemployment’s are in discussion, therefore I will like tackle this part within the African perspective. African educational transition must inculcate into the educational systems entrepreneurs development skills as make more emphases on practical experience of working. As this will prevent and reduce in-service training which is been developed by most industries in Africa for graduate student from the various universities across the continent.

Training
Vocational training and technical institutions must be encourage in the country for its be proven rights that such institutions seems to produces quality and practical youthful working force as compared to others. As we initiate such institute the country must embark on developing respect for all jobs and educate the general public to know that every individual who is in suite must be respect for doing a decent job, what is the essence of if only few of our youth who comes out of schools are in suite whiles the rest lies home not knowing what to do.
And polytechnic education must be given the necessary instrument and respects for experience have proven that polytechnic student seems to do well in the job market as compared to others.
Graduate student must also begin practicing business development partnership just after schools. Experience also shows that such venture promotes entrepreneurship developments

The already created Venture Capital Fund for youth must be made inflexible in terms of requirement for accessing the Fund. And also government must also channel more developmental aid which is provided by international development agencies into making capital available for the youth to start up businesses.

Macroeconomic and National Policies

Business development infrastructures and systems must be flexible and easily accessible to facilitate the process of starting up a business and business venture.
Policies must also be in place not to encourage government to be the engine block of job creation, but rather create an enabling environment for entrepreneurship development and business free environments.
The government I aware is very much aware of the new trench of development in the world, most developing countries in this millennium is concentrating in developing human capacity, I will there will advise the government of Ghana to develop a system of government where the new generation will be self reliance through internal job creation, which will go along way to develop Ghanaians economy, so as to desist from aid dependency.
