We are striving to reach you with quality information in an efficient manner. Franciscan Youth International Upcoming Events 2005 is our chance to ask politicians and leaders what they are going to do to overcome poverty, and to demand that they act on it now. This is an opportunity for all of us, together, to demand that world leaders act against poverty. July 1st will see people around the world wearing their white bands and wrapping public buildings in white to send a message to the G8 world leaders that they demand action on trade justice, debt cancellation, and more and better aid. International White Band Day will prove to be one of the largest global actions ever taken. You can be part of this global movement by wearing the white band in 2005. (Cologne, Germany) Be the Change You Wish to See in the World - Seniors at Mt. Alvernia High School oordinated a World Awareness Day to inform students about social justice issues through hands on activities, prayer, a film, and a hunger banquet.
