We had People and Planet helpers and other students, during Fair Trade fortnight helping with putting up posters and manning a stall selling Fair Trade goods. There is also a rep from People and Planet group sits on our Fair Trade steering committee.
We gave student helpers Fair Trade t- shirts, which went down very well as they were good quality t-shirts, unfortunately it was also pointed out that Fair Trade t-shirts were not made from Fair Trade or Organic cotton.
During Freshers week we will be giving out leaflets(amongst other things) telling students where they can buy Fair Trade , organic and ethically sourced goods.
