I believe you are visiting our main shop (Chaucer Late) in Nottingham on Tuesday. I am actually scheduled to be in the university Steering Group meeting at that time but am hoping to sneak out and say hello while you are visiting to see what you have to offer?

Regards,

Alan

Hi All,

I'm Juliet and I work for Epona Clothing. We are a licensee of the Fairtrade Foundation and have a range of Fairtrade certified cotton t-shirts, hoodies, polos and zip-up hooded tops.

Our greatest success so far is that 25 Union shops stock our clothing and also the extremely positive response we have had to our University Merchandise, in particular the bright colours in our collection.

The biggest challenge, but an exciting one, is to expand our current offering to include Fairtrade cotton uniform and workwear ranges. There seemed to be a lot of interest at the Conference in Fairtrade cotton clothing and it would be great to hear any feedback on procurement/tenders and the kind of clothing items that are most sought after by University catering departments, so we can start putting together a sample range.

Many thanks,

Juliet

Hi,

I'm Alan, the Development Coordinator for the Brackenhurst Campus of Nottingham Trent Students Union.

My biggest FT success so far is being part of the Steering Group for the local town (where Brackenhurst Campus resides) and make the Campus an integral part of the FT status we achieved for Southwell town, and on the back of that getting involved with the universities Steering Group bid for FT status.

The biggest challenge, I suppose, is to challenge the views and understandings of the general public to help them realise exactly what FT is all about, why it is so important and that a FT product is actually a quality product; once this message is embedded in the mindset their perception changes dramatically i.e. change from thinking its an expensive second class product. I'm fortunate that working largely in a student environment my customers are very switched on to these issues, but it still needs constantly marketing.

Regards,

Alan Williams
