PEACE VISION HORN OF AFRICA (PVHA) A VISION OF HOPE FOR A PEACEFUL SOCIETY, Focusing on the future successor Generation. To build peaceful society and a culture of peace in Ethiopia and as well as in the Horn Of Africa needed to transform the Internal and External conflicts towards a more sustainable peace building infrastructure and peaceful relationships among the Horn of Africa countries.
By Organizing community based peace-building clubs focusing for the peaceful nation building project and daily peace watch in Horn of Africa.
A Plan of Building a New peaceful successor Generation and Better society by using the best social, cultural, Economic and Political Active Reconciliation, transformation, Peace building methods and development. Transformation from crisis to recovery, conflict to peace, Division to Unity, poverty to self-reliance. Contribute to the improvement of life for the youth and children as individuals in the society. And calls for a commitment to self-reliance, self-sustenance, citizen-centred development and promoting democratic involvement, social, economical and political activism by using an alternative vision and direction for Ethiopia and Horn of Africa, it has been described as strategy for achieving sustainable peace and development. Our focus is behavioural changing at the grass roots level, to apply the golden rule to all human relationships by motivate the youth and others.
For example Food insufficiency, Ethnic tensions, extreme poverty (famine), and Disaster risk, HIV/Aids, religious hostility, and other conflicts heighten the populations’ sense of insecurity in Ethiopia. The vast majority of Ethiopians live in rural areas, which face some of the major problems: - Landlessness, food security and the low status of women. There are a lot of challenges the society faces in the Horn of Africa, some of them suffer in human crisis like refugees crisis. (Advocacy also is important for the Voiceless refugees). To fight against hunger & oppression Fight HIV/Aids is our basic program of peace building. HIV/Aids is destroying many homes. We should teach moral values to prevent and provide remedy to the deterioration of our society, to have peace. Because of our crisis we wish a global network to motivate Ethiopians and Horn of Africa society globally.
ABOUT US
We are a group of visionary youth to work together on voluntary basis to do our part to our generation. The project brought together a team of young Ethiopians keen on discussing and creating the desired future for Ethiopian and the Horn of Africa and now we have members for the Horn of Africa community.
Because of the vision we have, we agree to call ourselves as Peace Vision Horn of Africa.
For the time being we have 5 functions: -
I) Public Relations (Relations, communication and Information) for peace
II) Research, Policy, plan & Proposal formulation group for peace
III) Finance activities group for peace
VI) Prayer and spiritual transformation for peace: - Prayer is very important for our transformation (to play our role). The role of churches in peace building is Reconciliation, transformation, Development, to promoting Good leadership with good Governance and others to fulfil the need of our society. We need to pray for peaceful leaders who love their people. Good leadership guides the society to the way of truth, life, love and unity. God will bless us with the true leaders we need to have peaceful nations; a nation that has a peaceful leader is a blessed nation.
V) Capacity building for peace: -we need to design the program according our members positive talent and Interest. For Example:
• Editorial group for peace
• Creative (Art) for peace.
• -Sport for peace and we have Grassroots peace meetings organizing by club leaders and Research for peace Training, seminars and workshops.
The role of Peace vision Horn of Africa is to foster excellence in the development capacity building for the youth and enhances potential skills for success at personal & society level. To live in peace with dignity, we need to promote the culture of Human Rights and Democratization for the successor Generation. The long – terms of goal of peace action in Ethiopia and Horn of Africa must be strengthen a culture of peace which nurtures tolerance for differences, equality of access to existing resources, respect for others, trust and respect for individuals’ rights. By developing a common (vision and resource) of what constitutes peaceful society, and to use that vision to articulate broad aims, so that the youth become policy-makers, Leaders and defenders of the nation of Ethiopia and Respect each other with the Horn Africa countries. Our future plan Peace vision Horn of Africa is not only in the Horn of Africa but the following descriptions are important strategy for Global network around the world. We believe that Ethiopia's and the Horn Africa tomorrow will be shaped by today's decisions and actions to build that peaceful society. For this reason we wish cooperation to working together for common (vision, purpose and goal) and sharing ideas with those all interested national, international, and other organizations with our programs.
INVITATIONS FOR RESEARCH, POLICY, PLANS and PROPOSAL FORMULATION GROUP
For Ethiopian youth and other interested groups or for those have vision about the society of Ethiopia.
We decide to invite you to join us and working together hand in hand with Activities we have to develop a common vision for our Generation as future visionary Leaders. We need our collective vision to create a proposal for a National Vision for our generations on the peaceful Nation Building project and present it to fellow Ethiopians in booklet form. It identifies the major challenges that face the country currently, that need to be met in order to realize the vision. It is necessary outline some elements of the strategy that will make the vision of peace a reality.
However, that our plan for the 1st time to put the vision in a booklet form is not about the strategy but principally about the vision presents for discussion, dialogue and consensus building among Ethiopians on the desired future for the people of that country and agreement on the creation of that future. Once we reach an agreement as a Nation on the vision, we shall then develop the strategy to realize the vision. This is intended to focus the activities, programmes and aspirations of wide spectrum of Ethiopians and acts as a road map for all of us in creating Ethiopia and the future we want for successive generations and ourselves. After that we pledge ourselves as Ethiopia's youth to devote our efforts and energies to the realization of this vision. We pledge to provide leadership and work to demand this future for ourselves and the generations that will come after us.
