It is an invitation to an AF09
Stakeholders' Meeting to be held Friday,
March 20th, 3:00pm at Protea Hotel in Lusaka.
Thank
you!
Dear Friends,
As you probably know, planning for Africa Forum
2009 (AF09): Sharing Integrated Solutions to HIV & Food/Nutrition
Insecurity, is well underway. The event is
scheduled to take place June 21st-26th, 2009, at Sun
n'Sand Resort on Lake Malawi. We expect a minimum of 150
participants from 15 sub-Saharan countries, including Zambia, with slightly more
female than male participants. The delegates all have relevant field experience,
representing a wide range of disciplines and experiences, each united in their
fight against HIV/AIDS and food insecurity. In short, the event is shaping
up to be a terrific one!
We'd like to hear from you! We're moving
forward at full speed to develop the workshop sessions and program,
and have been actively seeking the input of a wide range of organizations
to guide this work.
We would like to give you an opportunity to learn more
about the latest developments with the event and to share your ideas with
us at a pre-Forum meeting to be held in Lusaka on Friday the
20th of March, at 3:00pm at Protea
Hotel.
During the meeting we will discuss the
following:
1. Does
the overall format of the Forum lend to achieving both content and process
goals? 2. Are
there further suggestions for technical experts or keynote speakers that should
be considered? 3. What
suggestions do you have for optimizing the skill building sessions & site
visits? 4. Can
you suggest accountability mechanisms that would help us evaluate the impact of
AF09? 5. What
suggestions do you have for the gaps in the program?
6. What
else do you suggest we do to make the Forum as successful as
possible?
This is an ambitious agenda and we will do our
best to keep the group focused and moving!
The meeting will be held
on:
Date: Friday, March 20th, 2009
Time Location: 3:00pm
Location: Protea Hotel
Please RSVP and direct any
questions to Gwenelyn O'Donnell godonnell (at) projectco nern.org.
We hope you will be able to attend.
In the meantime, the Forum website will keep you up to date on our
progress - please visit: http://www.projectc oncern.org/zambiaforum2009.
Thanks for your support of this important
event!
Warm regards,
Gwenelyn
