Exciting opportunity in a growing and successful fundraising team
The mission of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance is to support communities to play a full and effective role in the AIDS response. Our vision is a world in which people do not die of AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people. This has lead to a new post being created in the US fundraising team to manage a varied and interesting portfolio of work both with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and US foundations.
The primary roles of the US team within the wider Resource Mobilisation team are to identify and pursue US funding opportunities; provide input into fundraising strategy decision-making and proposal development and provide overall contract management and support to the Alliance's strategic and project funding. The team is therefore a central source of knowledge within the Alliance about existing and potential US donors and a key contact point for US donors. As an Officer: Resource Mobilisation in this team you will take responsibility for leading on a portfolio of government, foundation, trust,and multilateral donors providing both restricted and unrestricted funding to the Alliance
The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the current international donor environment. S/he must possess solid experience of donor liaison, reporting and proposal writing to institutional donors. S/he must also have good grant management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Officer: Resource Mobilisation must be able to work autonomously and collaboratively, leading and as part of a team.
