Deputy Director, Uganda Department/Division: Global Operations Open Date: 6/24/2008 Position Location: Uganda Position Description: The Deputy Director for the Reproductive Health/Family Planning and Child Survival Services will be responsible for project management of a team that will design and implement activities for the reproductive health/family planning and child survival programs in collaboration with various government ministries and community programs to support USAID/Uganda and the Government of Uganda. The Deputy Director will report to the Project Director. Minimum Requirements: Masters' degree in public health, or a related advanced degree; 7-10 years experience managing staff to implement large scale health programs and setting up operational systems and procedures for Reproductive Health/Family Planning and Child Survival programs; Technical experience in areas of: reproductive health/family planning and/or or child survival; Prior experience in a leadership role on USAID-funded projects. * Offer is contingent upon awarded proposal. Salary Grade: 09 (VA) Requisition Number: IN0837 2. Associate Director, Technical Department/Division: Global Operations Open Date: 6/24/2008 Position Location: Malawi Position Description: To provice leadership, management and technical expertise for the Malawi FCFC project, and to supervise key project staff. In addition, the Associate Director will supervise technical staff members of the FHI Malawi team and provide technical guidance to all projects in the country portfolio. Minimum Requirements: BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7 - 9 years relevant experience with international development programs. Or MS/MA in public health or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience with international development programs. Overseas field experience required.
