  Dear Samuel

Hope you attended the Conference in South Africa. Icouldnt attempt Applying coz i was also enganged with the Process of Developing and Implementing the Socila Protection Policy fro Malawi. You know what the Policy was developed with little involvement of the CSO and the Gorvenment decided just to introduce the Policy at alater Stage and when CSO realised the Plan we intervened and and stopped the Govenment to Roll out the Policy. The Gorvenmetn is Planning to have the some of the activities in the policy to be funded by the 2008/2009 Budget that is going to be Discussed so soon. As amember of CSO we were very busy trying to negotiate with the Gorvnment not to roll out the programme up uyntil ittakes into consideratiuons of the opther issues that were raised by the Communities.

How are things in Nigeria. Child protection work in my area is going on well as many Organisations and Assemblies are able to understand the need to include Child Protection Programmes in their work.

Lets Communicate. Wishing you Good Lucky
