Just a reminder about the conference call this coming Sunday, October
18th! Instructions to join the call and a possible agenda are below,
but please bring your own ideas!

a) Issues and actions that the Youth Network has been working on:
- Access to post-secondary education for youth (overcoming barriers to
completing secondary school or financial barriers to attending college,
university and other professional programs)
: need a planning team for this workshop (will take place on Thursday,
December 3rd, 4-5:30 pm in Windsor)
- Youth Orientation Guide report on progress
- Survey on newcomer youth and priorities see:

b) Issue areas for discussion
- Comments from the government/Minister of Citizenship and Immigration on
changes to the refugee system in Canada how can/should we respond?
4) Planning youth activities for December 2nd in Windsor
- for the moment, only an evening orientation session is being planned
- form planning team who is on it? What are the responsibilities?
- what activities will we plan as an orientation for first-time youth
participants?
How do we want these sessions to be different from the Youth Caucus
(scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd during the CCR Consultation)?

5) Representatives from the Youth Network on Working Group Steering
Committee(s)
No reply yet from the Youth Network selection committee about this. Note:
Two of the three CCR Working Groups (Immigration and Settlement and
Overseas Protection and Sponsorship are requesting a youth representative
on their steering planning committees). Please let Colleen know if
