Bakulutu Ent. Dk is a (soon to be registered) non-profit association established in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is in charge of promoting a group of 11 young Kenyan dancers (20-35 years old) abroad and organizing an European Tour in Summer 2011 (France, Denmark, Scandinavia)

Bakulutu movement was originally created in 1996, by Ronald Omondi Onyango and Kennedy Oure Eshawani (✝), in Bahati Estate (Eastlands, Nbi), and
gave birth to 3 generations of dancers & percussionists. Each generations have performed, both in the country and outside its borders (Africa, Asia and Europe), at many occasions.

Bakulutu Entertainment, Third Generation, is composed of 11 young Kenyan artists, who engage in traditional African dances & percussions. They regularly practice at the M.O.W Nursery School, which is located at Shauri-Moyo Estate, (Eastlands, Nbi).

Following the steps of their mentors, the new recruits intend to continue and furthermore develop the promotion of the African culture abroad, transmitting a message of peace, unity and brotherhood.

In July 2010, Mélanie became part of the Bakulutu team and created The Bakulutu Ent. Dk Support Group in, Copenhagen, Denmark, which became in charge of organizing an European Tour (Summer 2011).
As for venues, the support group targets cultural events, world music & dance festivals as well as other related events (esp. France, Denmark, Sweden), but Bakulutu is ready to perform for more private arrangements. For instance, dance & percussions workshops will also be proposed in Denmark.

Le movement Bakulutu a été crée en 1996 par Ronald Omondi Onyango et Kennedy Oure Eshawani (✝), à Bahati (Nairobi, Kenya) et a donné le jour à 3 générations d'artistes engagés (danseurs & percussionnistes).

Bakulutu Entertainment, Troisième Génération, est composé de 11 jeunes danseurs et percussionnistes Kenyans ayant pour objectif de transmettre leur culture à l'étranger.

En Juillet 2010, Mélanie est devenue membre de Bakulutu et a crée un groupe de soutient à Copenhague, au Danemark. La tâche principal de ce groupe est d'organiser une tournée Européenne (Eté 2011). Festivals, concerts, journée culturelle, et autres événements nous intéressent. Arrangements privés peuvent être organisés. Workshops seront proposés (France, Danemark).
