Description:
Biodiversity in Third World Countries are accessed easily by others than the native people. Before they recognize and react, it is gone into the public domain (knowingly or unknowingly). Whereas life saving drugs derived out of Biodiversity, conserved by community, is into the Private hands in the name of IPR, and people do not have access. This is a clear conflict of interests. \r\nHow to enable these communities to build their knowledge base leveraging the power of ICT and ensure Universal Access to Biodiversity and Equitable Benefit Sharing? \r\nThis projects aims at Enabling and Empowering them through building Peoples\' Biodiversity Registers(PBRs).
